1. Accepting these Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of T-Checker's website, reports, and writing-review tools (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. What T-Checker provides
T-Checker provides tools that analyze writing for signals such as AI-generated language, similarity, citations, grammar, and style. Features and report formats may vary by tool, language, and availability.
T-Checker is an independent writing-review service. References to third-party sources or websites do not imply affiliation or endorsement.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms for you.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of text, documents, and other content you submit. You grant T-Checker a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, transmit, and process that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service and provide the results you request.
You confirm that you have all rights and permissions needed to submit the content and that doing so does not violate law, confidentiality duties, intellectual-property rights, or another person's privacy.
Our handling of submitted content is described further in the Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to:
- break the law, facilitate fraud, or infringe another person's rights;
- submit malware or attempt unauthorized access to systems;
- scrape, overload, disrupt, reverse engineer, or bypass limits or security controls;
- resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to others without written permission;
- misrepresent report results or use the Service to evade academic-integrity requirements; or
- upload content you do not have the right to process.
Reasonable automated use is permitted only through interfaces or APIs we explicitly make available for that purpose.
6. Reports are not definitive
AI detection, similarity analysis, grammar review, and citation checks are probabilistic and may produce false positives, false negatives, incomplete matches, or other errors. Scores and suggestions are informational, not findings of fact.
Do not rely on a report as the sole basis for academic, employment, disciplinary, legal, or other high-impact decisions. You are responsible for reviewing the underlying text, applying your own judgment, and following the rules of your institution or organization. We do not guarantee any score, outcome, acceptance, grade, or decision by a third party.
7. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, interfaces, and original content, is owned by T-Checker or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose.
Third-party names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Referencing them does not imply affiliation or endorsement.
8. Changes, suspension, and termination
We may add, remove, or change features and may temporarily interrupt the Service for maintenance, security, capacity, or operational reasons. We will provide notice of material changes where reasonably possible.
We may limit, suspend, or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created legal or security risk, failed to pay, or abused the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
9. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage. We do not warrant that the Service will always be accurate, secure, uninterrupted, or error-free. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, T-Checker and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities arising from or related to the Service.
Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed US $100. These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.
11. General terms
These Terms and the policies they reference are the entire agreement between you and T-Checker about the Service. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganization, financing, merger, or sale of the Service.
Applicable law may give you rights that these Terms cannot limit. Any dispute should first be raised with us so we can try to resolve it informally.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service or law changes. We will post the revised Terms and update the date above. Where required, we will give additional notice of material changes. Continuing to use the Service after the revised Terms take effect means you accept them.
